Central Western Australia
The Australian Geographical Indication "Central Western Australia" was entered in the Register of Protected Names on 1 May 1996.
Outside of WA's wine regions, this zone does contain several wineries/vineyards. It is a good source of hidden gems, particuraly as it lies within a relatively short travel range from the majority of WA's more poulated areas.
The enclosed area includes:
Towns of Northam and Narrogin
Shires of Moora, Toodyay, Northam, York, Beverley, Brookton, Pingelly, Cuballing, Narrogin, Wagin, Woodanilling, Katanning, Broomehill, Tambellup, Kojonup, West Arthur, Williams, Victoria Plains, Boddington, Wandering, and a portion of the Shire of Collie
